Docas do Rio's revenues exceed BRL 1 billion by 2021

According to the director-president of Docas do Rio, Francisco Antonio de Magalhães Laranjeira, the accumulated revenue of the year - from January to November - represents an increase of 71.3% in relation to the same period last year. "This year was extraordinary for the company, with many challenges, but also opportunities and achievements. With the technique and dedication of our administrative and operational teams, we improved the governance practices, promoted financial balance, and improved the ports' infrastructure, which achieved excellent results, making the company stand out in the Brazilian port sector and gaining credibility in the market," celebrates president Laranjeira.  

Last November alone, the four ports handled 3.96 million tons of cargo. In 2021 - from January to November, the total volume of 57.18 million tons corresponds to an increase of 16.1% in relation to the same period in 2020. The two main cargoes handled by the ports managed by Docas do Rio - iron ore and containerized cargo, together represent 85.2% of the total and accumulate an increase of 17.6% and 12%, respectively, in the 2021 x 2020 comparison.
